Method

  • Cut the potatoes in quarters depending on the size of the potatoes. Place potatoes in cold water and bring to the boil. Boil for 10 mins.
  • Pre - heat oven to 220°C/200°Fan/Gas Mark 7. Place the butter in a baking tray and place in the oven until butter has melted. Drain the potatoes and toss in the flour - either put potatoes in another bowl and toss or if you have sieved your potatoes just sprinkle the flour over the top and then toss the potatoes in the sieve.
  • When the butter has melted add the potatoes to the tray and shake to cover the potatoes in the fat. Cook in the oven for 45 minutes - 1 hour or until the potatoes are a nice golden brown colour and cooked through. Serve immediately or keep warm on a warmer plate or in a warm oven.
